What Once Was

Note:: I do not own “Once Upon A Time” and I do not make a profit from writing this story. I’m just amusing myself.
Authors Note: This comes directly after, “In the Stillness and Silence”. It could be read as a stand alone but to understand why an apology was in order, you'd have to read the mentioned story.
Setting: Storybrooke
Rating: R
Warnings: Spoilers up to 1X13. Light sexual content, nothing graphic.
Prompt: I’m Sorry (love_bingo)
Genre: Angst/Bittersweet love
Word Count: 881
Cast: (in order of appearance/mention) Sidney Glass, Regina Mills, Graham
Summary: What they could have been always haunted her, his passion and devotion to her would always keep him at her side. She would never admit that his apologizes were unnecessary because he knew just what to do to make her come undone and forgive him.

What Once Was

He had snuck into her room whispering he was sorry. She just rolled her eyes, brushing off his words, calling him pathetic. Her words never stung him; he knew that she never meant them. He could see straight through her and she hated it, he knew that for sure. But he enjoyed it; he loved knowing exactly what was going on in the woman’s devious mind.

Sidney Glass knew the next words that would leave Regina Mills’s mouth were going to be, “You’ve let me down, as usual, but I should never expect anything less.” And he wouldn’t let those words leave her mouth.

“I will make it up to you; we still have time, my dear. All we have is time,” he crooned, the tone of his voice seemed to surprise her like a blow. He knew she didn’t expect that calm reaction from him. Especially with a tone he specifically only used for her, usually saved for seduction.

Her brows arched, “Oh?” she asked softly, her stern expression faltering.

He left his eyes drift over her silk clad body; she was beautiful as she was ruthless. He loved being able to surprise her, because no one knew her like he did. He didn’t speak but instead closed the gap between them, capturing her lips in a feverish kiss. Her kisses were dangerous, especially given her propensity for biting which he enjoyed.

“I’m going to treat you like a Queen,” he told her, waggling his brows and she let out a haughty laugh.

She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face, “I am a Queen,” she said, he smiled.

“Don’t I know it,” he assured her.

Regina crawled onto her bed, settling amongst her pillows, “You have no idea,” she muttered, grinning as he lifted one of her feet into his hands. She bit back a groan as he rubbed her feet, giving them the care and tenderness she never thought to do on her own.

“I love the noises you make,” he informed her, “But my dear, I can feel in your weary feet you need a nice long bath.”

She arched her perfect brow, “But its-“

“Who cares what time it is, as long as you’re being pampered,” Sidney insisted, watching a predatory grin appear on her lips.

“Who am I to fight that logic?”She countered.

He climbed off the bed, offering his hand to her, “No one, now come along.”

Sidney tugged her towards the connected master bathroom; everything about the room was lavish. She leaned against the sink as he readied the bath, the steam rising from the water. He began to shove himself out of his clothes and looked to her with an effortless flick of the thin straps of her nightgown, it pooled at her feet. He inhaled sharply at the sight of her, which made her smile.

She had admitted to him once, after a lot to drink and a lot of sex that her sessions with Graham were never as intense or pleasurable as his. Graham was there for a quick relief but he never properly worshipped her as she wanted. Sidney did, which is why she never denied him when he wanted to sleep with her. His concern was her first, then him or sometimes, her only. After that, he continued to use that to his advantage.

He climbed in, and then beckoned her forward; she glided towards him, still managing to look regal and elegant. She climbed in and they carefully settled in. He stretched out on his back, pulling her against him. She placed the back of her head against his collar bone, her back on his chest. His hand skimmed down her body and despite the heat of the water, she shiver against him. Regina’s body tensed as soon as his fingers slid between her legs, she bit her lip, trying to stay quiet. He cupped her sex, not touching any further than that, just holding her. He knew she would beg if he left his hand there long enough.

“Sidney,” her voice was low, deep with desire, though tempting, as she could feel his arousal, he still resisted.

His tongue traced her ear, “I will give you what you want, if you forgive me, you know I’m sorry.”

“I know,” he could hear her struggling to keep her voice level, “I forgive you, I will always forgive you,” she whispered, and he smiled.

“And why is that?” he asked, she carefully moved, straddling his waist, hovering above him.

She let her head fall back as she slowly sank down upon him, until he was completely seated within her. He sighed, and she groaned. Regina put down her head, locking her eyes with him. “Because you are the only person I’ve ever needed.”

“I will always be at your side, I will never leave you,” he promised her.

And as they began a slow, steady, passionate pace, Regina knew no matter what she did or who she was, he was the one loyal constant she could never lose. If she did, she would truly be alone, and that was something she would in no way let happen. Though she would never admit it, the words were on her lips as she felt her climax approaching, I love you…
