I view this is mix as a semi-bitter sweet mix because not all of it is about love, some of it is about loss and possession, the need to be with that one person. I don't see them having the storybook romance due to his insecurities and her need to flit with just about every male in town. But I can see love between them, I see him as being able to give her the most healthy relationship she's ever been in. I've actually used "La Vie En Rose" as a story title and a theme through the story.
