Ok, hear me out. I've been a Power Rangers fan since I was 7 years old (at least if not when I was 6 I can't remember). Since I was that young, I've always had Heroes on TV that would always be there to save the world.

Now after 17!! years, because of Disney, we are losing our heroes forever (which is why I pretty much own Wild Force through RPM ( Read more... )

They did a great job on the video and blending clips together. :) It's a great choice of song with great moments.

I'm a Disney fan (Walt's life and what he accomplished) but I can see problems with the current company. Walt didn't want to create a company where they would end up producing fads or trends that could only apply to a limited generation. The company was about creating pictures that could be shared with families and passed on from parent to child throughout the years. (The Lion King/Alice in Wonderland/etc.)

The current production of Hannah Montana, High School Musical, and The Suite Life on Deck is the complete antithesis of Walt's vision. By producing these fad shows, we've let Walt down today.

It's funny because I read a series of fan letters to Patricia Ja Lee (Cassie Chan aka Turbo Pink 2/Space Pink) on a fan site. A few talked about how it was to work for Saban's company. She said that there wasn't much to say about him. The productions were done quickly and used cheap methods to avoid overspending. He was kind of demanding as well and the actors were paid little for their achievements.

An interview with Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam Park aka Mighty Morphin Black 2/Zeo Green/Turbo Green) mentioned that because Saban was being asked to switch over to SAG Talent Agency which meant that the current actors would have to be paid more, he dodged it and secretly put an ad out looking for new Rangers. The current batch found the article and were shocked that they weren't at least informed about it in a professional manner.
