Xmas

Dec 28, 2005 14:10

Christmas was pretty relaxing overall. I was planning on leaving Baltimore on the morning of the 23rd, but due to poor planning, laziness, etc., I didn't get on the road until 15:30. My roommate (lohebohi) was driving down to South Carolina with his girlfriend, and they got on the road a little ahead of me, so they were able to give me the scoop on traffic/weather situations until I-85 split off from I-95. Other than a little bit of congestion just south of DC, it was pretty smooth sailing the entire trip. I only stopped once (in NC, after going 420 miles, about 60 miles from the SC border) for food (Waffle House) and gas before getting to GA. Once in GA, I swung by nfatuationjunke's for a minute, then stopped by Heidi's place and hung out with Evan before getting home at about 5:00. 750 miles including the stops.

Went to the GA Aquarium on the 24th. Took some pictures but a lot of them came out blurry since I was trying to follow the fish when snapping some of the pics. I did manage to get a pretty sweet video of the moon jellyfish though, with the color-changing lights.

Gina and Richard just bought a house off of Deering so we had Christmas over there. I got Trivial Pursuit Pop Culture 2 DVD Edition, an atomic clock that projects the time and temperature on the wall or ceiling, some programming books, and some small things. My friend Jason gave me a shirt with an 8-bit Nintendo controller on it that says "O.G. Original Gamer".

On Monday, the family and I went to Atlantic Station and watched The Chronic(what?)cles of Narnia.

Last night came down to the ATL and saw Grizant, Miles, and Ben. I will make sure to come down again before I leave on the 2nd to see the other folks I haven't seen yet.

And in other news, here is what I will be returning to:
