Ho Hum Friday

I finally have a chance to chill and update this monster! Overall, I've had a good week. Work is really getting on my nerves though. On top of supervising customer support for Citibusiness accounts, I also have the luxury of handling tech calls for SmithBarney.com. My typical call is some 80 year old person who's never had a computer in their life wanting to know how to access the website because their broker is too lazy to keep their clients updated on what's going on. My average call is about 30 minutes. God forbid they try to do somehting complicated like use Money or Quicken to track their finances. If they mess up, they call me and bitc me out when I tell them I can't help them in deep detail. HELLO!!!!!! If I bought a pair of hot pink fuzzy dice that lit up whe I honked the horn and they stopped working, I'm not gonna call Mazda and ask them to fix it. It was my bad for buying the tacky dice in the first place. I should call the fuzzy dice manufacturer. No more venting...

So this week I had a chance to finally play on the decks at Nuno's. It was cool, but since this new Trance Thursday thing is new, the support isn't there yet. I really need to bust my ass and bring people out so this thing will succeed. Kyle and Nuno are two great guys in my opinion. I talked to Nuno a bit at the end and I have full confidence that this guy can do something with the Trance scene, or lack thereof. I also met LX for the first time. He was playing a bit of cheese at first, but when we started tagging, he really started playing his good tracks. I have a whole new respect for the lad.

So now I have the task of bringing more people next week. As long as there is a solid number of people, this thing will keep going. Nuno said it will take time, but he feels we can make the place hot on Thursdays. I feel he's in it for the long haul and I respect that immensely. I'm going to do my best to help him. The thing I am happy abut is that Mike is playing next Thursday too. He's been the role of "crutch" for me recently when I get nervous. I have a really good feeling about next Thursday.

Tonight is the CitiStar awards dinner. Yesenia is receiving one for the badass job she does there. I get to be the man-pretty trophy tonight. I got my suit all ready to go. Can't wait to see her. Yesterday was 3 months. It gets better and better!
