I completely agree with this entry. I never understood, and still don't understand what all the hype is about.I read all four books, which all together were poorly written, and extremely long. But they weren't terrible. But all together not something I would allow my teenager to experience.

The heroin quote, really bothered me, because children and young adults shouldn't be reading books that reference to drugs in a positive way. It sends out the wrong message, where I'm sure the author had no intention to add on to their curiosities, but that is what she did.

The whole Edward and Jacob situation, bothered me, because it was also sending the wrong message. When you get angry with someone you don't go running to another person for attention/affection, and then walk out on them when the other returns.

It's recklessness. teenagers already have this dissolution of love to begin with. I don't think it is a bright idea to add to their obsessions, and give ideas. Because they do not understand that isn't how life is.

All in all, it simply isn't a good love story for teens. But what is more irritating is the older women, acting like fools about the stories. Yesterday, I saw a 35 yr old post, in all seriousness, that she was leaving her husband to go find her edward, because she was deeply in love with him, and her husband didn't measure to her new expectations.

I did watch New Moon, and it was seriously pathetic. The quality sucked, and most importantly, if you hadn't read the book, you had no idea what was going on. Really, it was hard to know what was going on when I had. I was pretty upset that I wasted a $1.00 renting that.

I'm very glad I am not alone.

That woman is the perfect example of someone who cannot differentiate between fiction and reality - it's very creepy to me. I mean, 35 years in this life and you suddenly become delusional because of a fantasy series? It's as if maybe there is something subliminal in the movies and books that makes small minds snap.
