Well, it's been a roller coaster of a day...

..and probably not the last one for a while.

Nothing like getting rejected twice in one day to put you in the best frame of mind. But one of my wonderful LJ friends posted a GREAT post about his goals in the New Year, and here's mine:

Here's hoping we all get to some of those goals (if not all of em) that we're shooting for in the new year.

Me?

* DJ at a major gig either right before the headliner or right after (although I've played after Tommie Sunshine before, I'd like to do it again)

* Get the weekly near Worcester off the ground and going by the end of January.

* Put out my first single and/or remix (either with Ian or solo reworking Josh's stuff - or both!), and concentrate on my music (really part of the same thing).

* Get organized to use my school time wisely so I can stay up to date (and learn even more) from my classes this coming semester (next Monday, holy crap!).

* I'm also going to find a voodoun curse or something to keep my recording one teacher single till the end of the semester so I can ask him out, get him drunk and jump his bones. :D Hey, he's 34, he's more than enough of a consenting adult, a bass player as well as an engineer (and we all know that bass players and drummers got rhythm ;) and a total hottie. Plus, this is the last class that he teaches that I could possibly take at school. :)

* go to Jamaica next year for my birthday, probably by myself (plan for the worst, hope for the best), and really fucking enjoy it. :)

That's about it for now. There are so many people approaching me with great recording project ideas that I can't wait to get busy with them. So much fun, so little time.

goals, music
