Well, it's now 12:05 so I guess it's "noon," but still.
Got up, made a leek and cheese quiche. Remembered *afterward* that I should have covered the edges with foil when pre-cooking the crust (such is the nature of cooking). Still, it looks lovely.
Shiva ate a bunch of the ham I bought last week (and ended up freezing when she wasn't eating) and I gave a little piece to Mikey and Kittin. Per Scott's comment, I want to get Mikey outside in a bit and take a picture of his handsomeness with the new haircut.
Drinking good coffee, loving my fur family and getting ready to go get my car maintained (oil change, tire rotation) and then go get a wax iron since Wachusett opens this weekend and I want to wax my skis. I've already got two brushes (the two different kinds for structuring the base, but not the wire brush yet - I'm not quite that confident), base wax and some other wax and a scraper. I figured if I can do all these other things I can wax my own skis.
Dogs are happy, I have yummy breakfast/brunch and the ski season starts this weekend. Yeah, I'm okay with things right now. These are the moments I hold on to when things go south. It all comes around.
