Busy busy...
..off to bed shortly, as I should have done hours ago.
BUT! I have all the Elfa shelves up in the studio. Realized I have reversed the shelves for the desk/DJ table setup - there are two shelf widths and I put them in the wrong sides. Since the sides are different heights and you level them by screwing in the braces, I need to redo that. But I will do that in the morning. After the Chiropractor.
For now, I'm going to go to bed, happy at how much I've accomplished. The studio looks kickass and it's not even done yet. I love how much more space I have in the house studio than I did in my attic room in Revere. Plus I have all the shelves I want and won't have to worry about moving again - I'm DONE! Wheeeee!!
There's something particularly satisfying about setting up your dream studio in your own home and realizing you can stay as long as you like. Add to that I've got heat in the winter and cool in the summer (yay for HVAC upgrade) and it's enough to make up for the icky parts. But then I realize there are a hell of a lot less icky parts than there were a year ago.
Did I mention I got a bit crazy and bought a CD duplicator as well? It's not a huge one, but I'm looking ahead to making and replicating CDs for gigs and possible recording session results in the future. The Mac Pro comes out of the box finally and everything is set up. This is a wonderful thing. Three macs and one PC - bwahahahah!! The macs will take over the world.
