Ouch...
....i think just about sums up the weekend.
I Headed off to Luton airport to meet up with TPROE i ended up pacing around the airport as the flight was delayed slightly, and then i had a wonderful idea...... i didnt really know what the guys looked like but im no stranger to meeting weirdos in airports but you can never be too careful so i nip[ped over to a car hire place and crafted myself a sign so they would recognise me, i thought it was inspired me stood there with a sign that read "i like noize" in huge letters - i did get some strange looks.... Met the guys and that was it,i knew it would be a crazy weekend, it was like meeting mates i hadnt seen for ages.
Headed up to mine and fed them a vegy stir fry over some interesting conversations, we then headed to Electroworkz for Live evil which was a banging night and i picked up a few quality vinyls, Pieter was not digging the night at all so we left relativley early even though we almost had to physically remove Daryl from the dancefloor!
Saturday we woke up did breakfast and headed out to see some sights as the guys have never been to London so i took them to the houses of parliment, big ben, the eye, tate modern, over the millenium bridge and up to st Pauls which is quite a nice walk for a few hours, i had to show them camden so we trekked up there and now i know what kind of people buy Union Jack womens knickers - people like Daryl - i was joking, he thought it was an ace idea....... Back to mine to organise gear for the night and then out to slimes everything went according to plan (as always) even though i was rushing around a bit.
Crash Symptom had a shaky start due to the perils of haveing a laptop in a warm nightclub the thing completley died 30 sec into his set, he recovered well and after 10 mins we were back on track, great debut gig for Greg and he woke up the crowd, by the end of his set the dancefloor was PACKED, some solid djing by the Slimes residents set the pace for the standard of djing for the evening, TPROE took the stage and just blasted out track after track of solid rhythm/power noise with Daryl working the crowd, a great show and the crowd went absolutley nuts and the band came back on for 3 encores - 3! i was happy and the Pieter and Daryl were more than happy, we did well on the merch stall too, Fran played a killer set and not to be outdone i took control of the decks at around 4 - well lets just say i was in the mood and a little but trashed, my set was immensley well received and i was bouncing around like zebedee on speed Dylan Pete and myself had a bit of dancing around like lunatics whilst trying to maintain professionalism behind the wheels of industrial steel which is a feat in itself - we failed miserable hehe
I kicked out some dude for pissing all over himself backstage which was amused me greatly ive never seen anyone lose control of their bodily functions like this guy, he couldnt even use his legs and he could just about stand! Anyway the lovely Kat bought mini cakes for me and a well munted Shaun so we were happy
- if you werent there you missed one hell of a night!!!
Got back to mine and my new housemate had some of his friends around so things got a bit silly whilst the guys sleot, i freaked out his trendy mates with my gas mask exploits which was loads of fun, dropped the guys off at the train station - i always hate goodbyes especially with good friends, then onto meet Shaun for more drinking and partying in Camden, i think i managed 4 hours sleep untill Monday then headed to Dylans for some deck spanking action, i think i passed out about 11 last night.
Phew!
