Am I the only one who thinks that the new 5D's ending is very appealing to look at? Looking back at the older endings, it's not as amazing this one. Why is that? In the past endings, they all included the same things: Characters, cards, more Characters, etc. While this ending has the same recurring theme, it's a little different. To me, I see alot of symbolism in these shots that kind of ties in to the plot of the season, and they are nicely played too. Don't know what I'm talking about? Let's take a look-see!
Now, I'm going to ignore the part with the characters' faces and the "TEAM 5D'S" part because, like i said, it's a standard thing in endings. All it is, is just showing off the main characters, so let's move on to the next couple of scenes.
You guys might know about these scenes:
I like what these scenes are telling me. The way i see it, it's as if we are looking in to the real forms for the Signers. Noticed how the first thing you see is a dragon then it pans to the Signers. It's as if to say that the dragons are really them, they are those dragons. Yusei, the Heroic Stardust Dragon. Jack the mighty and powerful Red Dragon Archfiend. Crow, the self-sacrificing Black-Winged Dragon. Aki, the elegant yet destructive Black Rose Dragon. Rua, the protective Powertool Dragon, and Ruka, the caring and spiritual Ancient Fairy Dragon. All in all, the Signers and their dragons are one in the same.
Now let's look at this epic scene next:
God, this such a beautiful scene. Anyway, the way i see this, it's showing that Sherry's fate or destiny is intertwined with Yliaster, as shown with them being on her hair. While yes, she is trying to reach out to Yusei for help, but look how her hair flailing up and around him. As if it's telling us that she is in their tight hold and that her fate is now on Yliaster. Still trying to figure out the Dark Glass/Bruno thing, But they are still a mystery in the series, so I'll leave it at that.
Now, everyone's favorite part:
I believe this this is the most symbolic part of the ending. Ok, the part with the glowy energy thing and Aki's hand.
when she opens her hands the thing disappears and everything lights up.
To me, it's telling that Aki is letting go of her old self and is now opening up to her light. The energy must be her old psychic powers, the thing that made her the Black Rose Witch. When she opens her hand, she letting going of her dark past (the dark forest)...
...and everything lights up.
Them holding hands is like Yusei is the one who's showing her the light, her bond with Yusei as a friend. and the pan up to that godly Shooting Star Dragon thing is telling that with there bond, mircales can happen in the future.
To most people, they just see pretty picture, but sometimes i see the hidden meanings to these images. If anyone have any thoughts or their own insight to the hidden meanings, feel free to share what you think. Thank you for your time!
