Nutcracker

Seeing Loyce Houlton's Nutcracker with my kids yesterday afternoon was fantastic. I was disappointed that they don't have Godfather Drosselmeier wearing an eye-patch anymore but for the most part if was very consistent with my memories of seeing the ballet every year as a child. The dancing and costumes were outstanding and the music flawless. My children didn't hate it and actually stayed awake for most of it. My daughter sat on my lap the entire time so she I figure she had one of the best seats in the house.

It really took me back to one of the fonder memories of my childhood. It also reminded me of why I find both men and women so beautiful and where I was when I first discovered that between the two I preferred both. Watching those men, so strong, in those tights, their asses so firm... and the women, so graceful yet so powerful and with such unbelievable flexibility. To see both men and women with such incredible control over these magnificent bodies is absolutely inspiring.
