I'm very very excited about the Singapore International Film Festival this year just because they have a lot of films I've been wanting to er... (download) but I guess I'll just tickets to watch them instead!
Top 5 must-watch picks: Griff the Invisible (Australia)
THIS LOOKS SO CUTE and ENDEARING. And I haven't watched many Australian films but they're always so good (Animal Kingdom!) and I've been reading nothing but good reviews for this one and Ryan Kwanten's performance. He is the one plays the perenially horny and stupid Jason Stackhouse in True Blood (He's also coming here for a panel!!).
Abel (USA) - this one's directed bu Diego Luna!!!
Submarine (UK) -
Directed by Richard Ayoade! (this one I've been excited about for just about forever because Richard Ayoade from The IT Crowd is directing it and I've read that the humor in the film is in the same wavelength as Richard's.) And also because Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys did the soundtrack as well.
The Names of Love (Italy) - This premise of this film is just too cute la. And the leads in the movie have such amazing chemistry!! <3 And the male lead is one kind of charming.
The Journals of Musan (South Korea) - About a North Korean defector trying to find a new life in South Korea :'(
And the others... (too lazy to find youtube videos) Man with a Cell Phone (Israel) Comedy
