Norf London
Well the morning was fairly uneventful. But this afternoon I met up again with swankyfunk to take her round some of the nearby filming locations of Spaced and Shaun of the Dead (aka Pegg Pavement tour).
Started off with the street in which Tim & Daisy get to know each other in the first episode of Spaced which is also the location of Twist's launderette. Sadly it was shut but we peered through the shutters :P 'On the spot cleaning' sign is still there :)
Next hopped onto a bus to Crouch End where we went to Shaun's house and local shop - again the shop was shut (so much for London being a 24 hour city) but still fun was had walking the walk from Shaun's house to the shop. Then it was a walk to Crouch End Broadway for the flower shop and a sit down for a coffee and cake. Then took a bus to Archway to get the tube to Camden Town. Went to visit *that* allyway with the gunfight from Spaced:
Then we headed to the markets. Always good to look around. I ended up buying two t shirts - a Cobra Kai The Karate Kid one, and a Spider-Pig t-shirt ala The Simpson's Movie :) And then at the Stables Markets swankyfunk spotted some Superman Returns playing cards that I quickly snapped up as I'd never seen them before. Something else to add to my collection :) Also, swankyfunk bought stickers of Banksy art of two policemen officers in an embrace as it reminds us of slash Hot Fuzz fandom - see sandfordpolice and an 'arse' t-shirt LOL. After a meal it was time to bid farewell.
