Star Trek meetups and fandom
So the second London ontd_startrek was awesome - look how many of us attended! \O/ woot! It was great to meet everyone even if I didn't get the chance to talk to all of you. I was glad to see those of you who attend the first one with me, came to this as well :D
There is another meetup planned for Saturday. I shall be there :)
Meetups aside, Star Trek TOS S1 is continuing to be awesome. Some of the later eps in S1 have some brilliant sci-fi stories. Myself and missy_manic find ourselves wanting to get hold of WIlliam Shatner and Leonard Nimoy's other work. I really want to get a copy of Deathwatch starring Nimoy - because is this not the worst intriguing tagline you've ever heard of for a movie:
Homosexual outlaws on a rampage!
... WTF?! this is the tagline on IMDb I kid you not.
And fandom crossover squee means I must get a copy of Kid Monk Baroni as it stars Jack "Jimmy Olson" Larson (from 1950s Adventures of Superman playing the best friend of Leonard Nimoy. Look how young he is! awww....
Also Quinto Spock is making we want to watch Heroes S1 again which is great TV. It lost me in S2 though :(
