Ok so seriously although I love Spandau Ballet (ask
missy_manic :P ) I can't help but feel the press/publicity for the reunion tour is trying too hard... yes you were a big band in the 80s. How else do you explain the fact that someone like me born in the decade knows your songs?... It helps that after Spandau Ballet disbanded various members still worked in the public eye - but really there is no need to try so hard with the brash statements:

No need to throw statistics at me. Do I care many US radio plays True got?! No. I do love the footage editing, they sound great and am told they were great live. Great songs, singer, music - that's what got me to buy a ticket :)

The surface smarts and radio-friendly sheen of Spandau Ballet’s biggest, most pervasive hits are familiar to anyone in possession of a radio or a laptop, anyone who was born in the last 50 years or indeed anyone who regularly goes to the movies or watches television - the group’s songs have been used in the Simpsons, Spin City, Charlie’s Angels, The Wedding Singer and Ugly Betty, as well as in advertisements for Coca Cola, Sony Ericsson, Caixa, Nissan, Nescafe, Pils and dozens more - while the band’s songs have been covered by everyone from the Black Eyed Peas and Nelly to Paul Anka and Lloyd & Lil Wayne.
^ They forgot Spaced (Ep. 1.2) :P But again for similar reasons the full band write up - if you click the website link and read it all - makes me cringe - pretentious much? I guess they would argue they always were... it's just that in the context of the 80s and the new romantic/new wave movement that all made sense.. now I'm just a bit embarrassed. :-/
