Days
Yep, that's what I got. Days. Off that is!!! Besides my upcoming 11 day vacation(including the weekends), last Friday my Studio Director gave me 2 comp days this week. Today and tomorrow! w00t! His reasoning? Because of all the hard work I've been putting in. He may not have been able to get me the higher pay that I wanted, but ultimately need at some point, but he has other ways of showing that he does appreciate the hard work and effort I put in every week.I guess not taking the regular days off like Labor Day and what not have gone a long way to showing him that I am 1 dedicated dude.
But this is sad. Now, I have allot that I can work on personally right now, but I'm so used to being at the office and working(I've worked pretty much everyday including weekends since December and put in 12 - 16 hours each day) that I'm sitting here at home, feeling like a lazy ass! I knwo I shouldn't though. I mean, Iw as given these days off because of my hard work, but to be honest, I'd much rather be at the office working, on something. Of course I say this now, but when we go back into crunch time on the next title, I'll wish I had time again.
I've been playign Halo 3 online waaaay to much lately. Not that it's a bad thing. I've got a nice squad of mates to play with and we always have a blast when we play in teams. But I have been playign allot. However, I did just finish building nmy first map variant in Forge and have had some people play on it and so far, the response is positive. Especially for it being a my first Halo 3 map variant. I joined a clan yesterday, but you know, I'm already not feeling like I want to be in the clan. There's allot of elitism and you know, if I want that I'll go hang out with a bunch of pricks... Not happening!
Anyhow, I guess I'll find something to work on, or maybe I'll just kick it today and relax. After all, that's the whole reason I was given the days off.
