Why is it that some people look to try and bring other people down? I've never quite understood it myself. Yeah, I give people a hard time, but it's always in jest and never constant and if I've not seen them in awhile I don't start out a line of communication with an insulting line. I don't care if it's a joke or not. It's childish.
Whatever. Do people ever grow up?
In other news, the new goggles just came in yesterday. They look awesome. I'm quite happy with them. Next on my list is to pick up the boots and then after that look into some kind of shoulder armor. Once I've acquired these things the outfit will be just about complete.
I hate holidays when I have to travel now. The festival is booked the weekend after the 4th of July weekend and ticket prices are a full $250 more than what they were the following week, which was the original standby date. So, now, instead of being able to fly there and fly my dancers there, I'm going to be hittin' the road. I'll be flying into Houston late Thursday the 10th and getting up the next day and driving the 9 hours there and then 9 hours back on Sunday. Believe it or not it's cheaper that way. I'll actually save about $400 doing it this way. However, when I come in, I will not be going out that night. I won't be hittin' the town in Houston until the next week after I get back.
To be honest, I'm glad to be coming in for a week where I'm not working, that doesn't mean that i won't take a gig here or there if I'm in town and they're offered, but I really just want to spend time with all the people that have been asking me to hang with them when I've come in the last 2 times. Gotta learn to separate business and personal time a little better I think.
Later this evening I'll be going into the studio here at work to drop the vocals on a new track that's been in production for about 2 months. Well, actually it's been done a month and a half save for vocals and effects processing, but it's been in limbo due to my workload. Thankfully the workload is finally starting to lessen up a bit, the only downside to that is less money on my checks, however, after looking at the release schedules for the next year, I'll begetting the massive hours again soon if I want 'em. After this track I think I'll be moving into another genre. My goal is to spread out among multiple genres and not pigeon hole myself. This is a bit easier because the plan is to only do studio releases which means I can be more open and experimental and that's how I've been feeling lately concerning my music.

I got a 1-Fingered bidry flappin' back at ya"
