The weekend at work was just horrifying. We were massively short-staffed and soooo busy. Saturday night we had a couple stabbings come in and then plainly related beatings, none of which we called EMS for because they were all superficial so we just cleaned them up. And no police reports because the idiots wouldn't squeal. Sunday night I got swung at like 3 different times. My coworker put an awesome armlock on one guy and practically carried him down 2 flights of stairs he's much bigger than all of us, stairs?! No thanks that whole incident was fucking scary, 3 of us had him against a wall trying to decide what to do with the stairs then my coworker did the arm-thing. A different crackhead swung at me quite literally unexpectedly out of nowhere, I evaded and he probably missed my face by like a hair. I hope he broke his hand on the door-frame that he did hammer. I asked the police if I could press assault charges, and apparently because I have excellent reflexes and he didn't actually connect before he was quickly restrained, I can't. I think that's stupid. I'd press charges even if for no other reason, that maybe some cold-turkey drying out time in the tank would help the loser. There were about one million incidents. In the morning our building supervisor came down and said 'his heart went out to us all night'. He thanked us and also said 'good game' supervising on my part, I liked hearing it.
After that wretched night I stayed awake and went to a dentist appointment at noon Monday. I already had my teeth cleaned on the weekend, and then Monday I had a bunch of work done including a root canal and next Monday I have a bunch more. I really envy you fuckers out there with perfect teeth. After that I stayed awake a few more hours and then just collapsed exhausted. I slept pretty much forever. I'm on my vacation however, 12 straight days of hopefully no addicts, seizures, swingyness or stabbings!
I am going to Edmonton soon, and I debated getting out of the province but I'd rather funnel my expendable money into more music and musical toys than random traveling. Speaking of toys the "Korg Kaossilator " currently attached to my sweet mix-board is like the funnest thing ever! it's a touch-pad and it creates the craziest live beats and sounds and bleeps and bloops. It's so much freakin' fun OMG!!1!1# Also the Korg Kaoss mini-pad is a blast too I'm going back and forth-back and forth... FUN!
Apparently even as a lunatic I'd be a homeless one. But ironically about my favorite!
Here's his Wikipedia. There was a full eclipse of the sun on the day he died.
