So here's some big news for some of you that care: plans to relocate to Las Vegas after graduation are starting to come together nicely. I'm in the process with Adam and PJ of putting together a list of all expenses and income, along with the place we've found to live in.
The three-bedroom apartment we found has a monthly cost of $910, plus a $200 deposit. If you do the math, that's $300 a month (water and electricity included), then whatever other utilities and bills. Altogether, the rough estimate was $1500 a month per person for living expenses. Based upon a yearly full-time salary of $50,000, we'd be making approximately $2500 in profit a month. Not too shabby, to be totally honest.
It's looking very likely that I will be able to leave this place sooner than I thought. And for something cheaper (and far nicer) all at the same time. I'm really looking forward to this opportunity, and despite making headway in various political connections the past few weeks and a promising future in politics in Massachusetts, I can honestly state that I do not want it if I'm not going to be happy here. The fact of the matter is that my eyes've been opened to how much this state sucks in the past few years, and I'm determined to leave. The prospect that I would be accompanied by my best friend and a potential very-good friend gives me a very secure feeling.
So, three years and a college degree from now, I'll hopefully be on my way to The Strip. Wary of Murphy's various Laws, I'll keep my hopes curbed greatly, but I'm very optimistic about my future.
