Defining Moments

Jun 07, 2004 01:24

The things that happen during the course of your life that shape and define who you'll be for the next day, or the next 20 years. Sometimes you can go months, or even years, without deeply defining moments personally. Others have them daily. It's all dependent upon fate and what life hands you each day as you wake up and go through the motions.

Such is life. Your attitude is highly influential as to how you handle what life offers, and what life takes away. Occasionally, strength is required. Sometimes, strength is always required. And often, well, often sometimes compassion is required as well. The key to success is rolling with the punches and the setbacks while at the same time keeping a positive attitude and knowing that nothing bad lasts forever except death, and it only comes once. Therefore, you should never take life for granted and cherish every day you have, even if it involves being bored out of your mind with no one to spend it with.

Remember: at least you're still alive.

To add a funny moment into all this seriousness, while me, Adam, and Doug were at the Border Cafe tonight, Doug decided to stop the waitress just to tell her flat-out that she was "gorgeous." The man gets some props for that one, cause it takes some balls to do that in the middle of a restaurant (especially one in which I dine frequently, and would like to return and not find myself being stared at by its employees). Props to you, Doug. You're quite the Pineapple.

Have a nice night kids. I'm done here.
