Time for me to add my two cents...promisesmade85May 25 2004, 14:48:23 UTC
I not only put my trust into someone, but I put in all my time, efforts, resources, money and care into one person. All last summer, all I did was cater to his every need, and gladly too. Then he moved away to college, and turned into the biggest prick ever. He was the best friend/bes boyfriend I ever had, and I had never felt such a bond with someone. It all hit me when I drove up in a blizzard 7 hours to visit him at school one weekend, and instead of a hello I got a "Dont act up while you're here, I get more respect here then I do at home
( ... )

All i'm going to say is all of you bring up good points; and Nick you bring up a very touchy subject. You have to learn who to trust and not to trust is the way I see it, because if you go around not trusting anyone period, you might miss that once in a lifetime moment/person. I tend to trust and forgive a little too liberally, but learning from your mistakes is part of life's journey. The best course of action to take in my opinion is to follow what J.F.K. once said: "Forgive your enemies, but never forget what they have done." In other words, don't let yourself become bitter as a result of the actions performed by people who have indeed betrayed and back stabbed you. Because in the end, they win twice. Take a look at what happened, put it behind you and move on with the lesson learned.
And yea, Nick (Henry) shit you definitely can't forget about the sex :)
"Forgive your enemies, but never forget what they have done." This is true. Especially since I could never, as long as I live, hate the person in question. We went through a lot, and I thought that the distance between us while we were both at school was going to kill us. I could never hate him, but at the same time, I could never forget what he did. Good advice. Thanks.
