Challenge #12
In your own space, tell us who you would recast in a film, tv series or webseries, or maybe someone voicing a cartoon or videogame. Or who would you cast to play a character in a book, comic or maybe even your own fiction!
Rough Trade encourages writers to do their own art and a casting page so people can see who you have in mind for your characters. Most of the time, it's just a reminder of who played what character on the show or movie, so the faces and actors are familiar. I'd never done fancasting for any of my stories until I started writing for that challenge, but now I can't seem to stop.
For the most part, I'm on board with the actors as they've been cast in the shows and movies I watch, but there is one casting that I don't like. I'm not sure why, but I'm not that big a fan of Gary Oldman. He just never really clicked for me.
So, if I were casting for the Harry Potter movies, I'd cast Sean Bean as Sirius Black. I utterly adore him (he co-starred in a James Bond movie, so of course I like him) and he's got that sexy, slightly insolent attitude that I think would play perfectly as Sirius. I mean, look at him!

If I ever write that epic Mary Poppins/Harry Potter fusion that I talked about in an earlier challenge, I would cast Aidan Turner as a younger Sirius Black. Again, sexy and broody, which is the default setting for Sirius, I think. Seriously, it doesn't get any better than this.
