This all made me very happy, thank you! :D

It's a concept I felt was always present but kinda danced around in the cyberpunk genre. There's almost always a concept of the more cyber you go, the harder it is to still be human, either in the direction of flat loss of human traits like empty and morality or towards loss of control and "cyberpsychosis". But they rarely touch on the why, and this felt like a "right" reasoning to make all that work.

I wish I was talented enough to have purposely done that :D But, I love PKD's works and they're a solid influence both on the genre in general and myself personally so there's bound to be echoes.

I felt like I needed a good symbol that would relate to the Enders and what they did, and this one called out to me the second I found it. It's used across several cultures and languages with a variety of meaning, usually as an "end", but also bringing in the concept of a final stage or the last or something. The Enders when they pass choose to remain in that partially transitioned state so that they can help the lost move on to the final stage, so it felt like it was meant to be :D

Thank you so much again, and there will definitely be more as the topics lend themselves to revisiting, and everyone liked it so much I'll be seeing what I can come up with for works outside of Idol too!
