the reason behind the madness...
So this journal/blog/whatever is dedicated to my love for and experiences with Disney especially through Walt Disney World College Program. I probably won't be posting much for now, because I don't begin school until Fall 2008, therefore have not yet begun the application process for the CP. However, when I do so, I plan to keep track of everything right here to share with my fellow CPs as well as future CPs and CP alumni. I may post from time to time about other Disney topics or even just my random life (if I happen to get really bored).
I have been interested in the College Program for a few years now, but just recently began researching it in depth. I have read or asked about everything from the number of bathrooms to the great Vista Way vs. Chattham debate to horror stories of working too many hours. Luckily, after learning everything I have so far, I'm still very excited about doing the program. Working for the Disney Company would be a dream come true, and there's no place like this to start. Besides, who would turn down half a year in sunny Orlando with free admission to all the Disney Parks?! I really consider this the opportunity of a lifetime and plan on treating it as such!
As far as the CP goes, I am right now really interested in a role as a Character Performer and Character attendent. I'm open to other roles as well, but these are my top two at the moment (I like to change my mind quite frequently). I know that one of the biggest factors in being selected as a Character Performer is height and role availability, two things I have absolutely no control over. So I'm open to other roles and options too.
