Okay, i'm going to skip what happened to me over the weekend cuz it sucked. Summary: I didn't get coldplay tickets, i almost cried, my dad got married, the end.
Okay, so monday night was absolutely beautiful! Okay, so I had to get out of wim practice early, and that hella pissed off my swim coach. He said "you'd rather see a concert and screw up your swim season?" And then steven yelled from the other side of the pool, "Yes!" Chris got mad at that. So I'm sure that he isn't going to pay attention to me anymore.
Monica took me to bart and we rode on it to SF. Oh man, i was blown away w/ the city. It was like a scene out of a movie. When we were riding on the escilator (can't spell) up to the street, the tall buildings were rising higher and higher--noises everywhere. Ambulences, car horns, ppl chatting, homeless people talking to the passing ppl. It was so different than life here. I love the city.
We waited in line for about 1/2 hour then we waited for another hour for the show to actually start. A lot of the ppl didn't know much about snow patrol. It was weird. Anyway, embrace came out as the opening act. I could hardly hear them b/c the bass was cranked up too high. But they were cool. Very charming. I like the part where the singer taught us how to jump. Great fun. He was hot, too.
They preformed for an hour--and then we had another 1/2 wait before snow patrol started. I remember thinking to myself "man, i'm tired. Is this worth it?"
Fucking yes! All of a sudden the lights go out and strang sounds were coming from somewhere. That went on for like a minute. We were all like "where are they?!" Then the drummer started. Oh man... then they started to play chocolate I'm pretty sure.
They were awesome. I was expecting them to be mellow or something, but they were energenic, charasmatic, funny--and bloody brillant! They rocked so hard! I can't believe how good they are.
The new bass player is hot... I took a lot of pics of him. One pic he saw my flash and he looked my way and smiled at me like 'heeey'. I was like 'Oh... my... god!' And i smiled back while swaying and jumping around. Oh man, and he drank a lot. It was funny. Whenever he had the chance, he would go to his beer bottle on the amps.
The lead singer was great. I really like his hear long... he looks totally different w/short hair. Anyway, when he started to jam out w/ his guitar, he looked so cool. Man, he's soo cool. Oh yeah, he's funny, too. awww *waves self with hand* The part were he talked about how they were actually 60 yrs old was great. "We all got face lifts... boob jobs, and ass jobs." To which all the girls yelled when he grabed to ass. Including myself. Oh, and then during the encore he knocked his face against the metal mic. He was like "Ow! Where's one of those fucking balls... oh fuck it! Lets rock." To which the crowed yelled. Including myself. Oh, there was a part where I yelled like "woo" and he smiled at me! I was like right under him, too. Awh, it was great.
Mon and i got separated! WTF? She was being shoved by the ppl around her. Every time I looked behind me, she was getting farther and farther. The dude next to me was hella cool. He know pretty much all of the words (even tho he didn't know where they were from) and he jumped around w/ me. Very groovy.
After the concert Mon and I got shirts. Dah! Cool! And there were drunken british guys!!! I've never seen any before!
When going back to bart we weren't mugged. I know--shocking! When we got to mon's house around 12 am *opens mouth in huge accomplishment* we ate and talked about the concert for about an hour.
It was the best night of my life....
