OMG, spring break rocked! Tuesday was by far one of the best days of my life! I'm never going to forget it! Oi! Okay, so monica and I went into Berkeley. We took Bart (took the seconds train cuz we missed the first one), and it was slightly raining. Ooh, I was so scared that it was going to be crapy weather in the city! When we got to our bus station, we saw our bus pull away... which sucked! I think we waited for about 20 minutes for the next one. Ugh! Okay, so then we went to UC Berkeley. We went like all over, which was crappy cuz the campus was so hilly, but it was worth it. I saw so much, but I don't really like the campus much. I think I like UC Davis better.
Anyway, student presidential races were going on, so there was a lot of choas. This one guy came up to mon and I and asked if we wanted summer jobs. I humored him (mainly b/c he thought that we actually went there), but he wanted us to like meet someone that day. I was like That's Not Possible. Dude, he must have talked to us for like ten minutes. Oi...
After walking around campus and going through many buildings, mon and I went to Telegraph Ave. It was cool. There was like 4 stores selling Cal stuff! Dude, isn't one enough? Hmmm. So Monica and I went to Rasputin's right down the street. Yeah, so we looked in there for awhile. When we were walking out the door, monica saw something. She was like "wait... what did it say about Ash?" I thought it was just an annoucement that their new album was out. The sigh said, "Ash live in store March 29." "That's today, Monica!" I said, bewildered. After that we didn't know what to do. Cuz we planning on seeing the Bravery in San Fran at 5, but that was when Ash was suppose to be at Rasputins. We could not decide! Well, it was only around 12, so we had a while to decide. We went into Ameba right down the street from rasputins. It was dirtier and had so many yound hippy homeless people infront of it. One homeless guy almost ran into me. He was like sworving, so I think he was drunk. Mon brought coupons for Ameba, so I got a Clash CD and the Kieser Chief's CD!!! yeah! It's so good. I've been listening to it all week.
Anyway, back to Berkeley, after that we went back to berkeley. It was still crouded (dude, like over half of the student population must have been asian... woooooww...) We walked all around the campus hiting even more places we didn't go to earlier. We finally decided on seeing Ask instead of the Bravery. Which meant we had a 4 hour wait... dah! What were we supposed to do in 4 hours? So we followed people, went into places we probably should have and watched the students. Yep, we were like stockers for the day. Great fun. We also went into more places down Telegraph Ave. There were a lot of vintage stores, which were cool. There was this book store across the street from rasputins where I read rock mags. Hey, I learned that oasis and blur meet each other at live 105 back in '94. Interesting...
So then monica and I went to rasputins around 4:45. Dude, when we got there, not that many people were there. But people did eventually start to come. Monica and I went to the second floor where they were going to perform. There were british ppl there!!! yeah! Groovy! Man, they were cool. They were ash fans. They started to spout off facts about Ash here and there that I was like astonished about. Like they performed infront of like tens of thousands of ppl! And now they were going to perform at the top floor of rasputin's for free, infront of like 30 ppl. They got me excited about it.
Around 5:15ish, tim walked through the doors, followed by the rest of the band (minus the bassist, mark... it's mark, right?). The british girl was like "*gasp* There he is! He just walked in like that... that's mad! That's so mad." Eck! So it took the a long time to get ready. I saw tim walk back down so casually. It was awesome. The british dude told the british girl to go talk to him... "I can't!" She said. She was really star-struck.
Before the band started to warm up, Tim talked to us, the ppl waiting at the top floor. He was really nice... I was surprised. He posed for some pictures w/ppl and shook hands. Really nice.
It all went to fast after that. They sang like 3 or 4 songs, but it was bloody brilant! Dude, they sang Girl From Mars, and Monica was like *gasp!* "I love that song." She was right... it was wonderful! They also sang teenage kicks which I recorded on my phone--i'm never deleting it, ever! I also took a lot of pics.

I remember thinking, I better live in the moment, cuz this is one of the best moments I've ever had. Seeing them play live was absolutely amazing. After the show, they signed autographs for us. ECK! I hung my sticker with their autographs on my wall. I look at it every day.
After the show, we took the bus (again missing the bus we wanted by a hair) to bart, still in awe about what just happened. We got to Monica's house around 7:30... before Gilmore Girls, I remember. We listened to Ash in her room. Oh man, it was great.
I wish that I can write more, but I've got so much homework that i didn't to. Okay, well, I'll wright more tomorrow.
