i flew a plane thursday afternoon.
orion has his private pilot's license and a friend with a plane. so he took us up, and it was beautiful, and scary, and sweaty, and surreal. and then orion let me fly, gave me complete control. it was easy without knowing all the technology. and i did some crazy turns where when i looked out the left window all i saw was gulf, and out the right was only sky. when we came down i couldn't even talk really because i was so.. it felt like i was high.
i have never done anything like it before and it definitely beats "making sushi" as the coolest date ever.
although, i don't know how i'm supposed to beat that.
i've been thinking about chris alot.
my landlord is threatening to use our security deposit to fix the pool. i'm pretty sure the lease said we were expected to maintain the property, not fix it, and since the pool looks just as bad as it did when we moved in, i think that counts as "maintainence." it would be nice if my landlord would find our lease and mail us a copy.
my pool game has improved, and so has my alcohol tolerance. hopefully they are not related.
i re-read "extremely loud and incredibly close" and i forgot how much i like it. i also read "gates of fire," the book they based 300 off of, and it made me think more than i wanted to on a first read-through. so i will read it again. but i like a good story, something that lets me escape, and not necessarily something i want to work at.
now beach time with cute boy :)
