i had a really, really great day yesterday.
i made good money at work during my first shift, even though i got slammed. i went to fuji for lunch and got started reading 'the stand.' then i spent about an hour sitting in my car enjoying the sunshine and reading. i made pretty good money my second shift too, and got out pretty early.
after work i came home and showered and met daniel up at cabana's for a drink. we played hangman, and it was awesome. robert and tim came up too, and mark and tasha were there for a while. i got to actually talk to riccio about amy, when he showed up to hang out with me and daniel, which was good because i can't really talk to him about it at work when he's my boss. then david came with some of his friends, and when the bar closed i drove him and sean back to david's place. we hung out for a while before david noticed i was falling asleep on him so we left sean to play some NCAA football game on the 360 in the living room and we went to bed.
work today was kinda rough. i was exhausted, because we didn't get to sleep until at least 530 this morning. and all my tables were very rude. well maybe not rude, but.. they weren't nice. nice. just basic human politeness. i made $22. yes!
oh speaking of 'the stand,' the other day i bought that and 'the talisman' by stephen king and also 'rant' by chuck palahniuk. i'm done with 'the talisman,' which i'm glad i re-read because it makes 'black house' make even more sense. and i just finished 'rant' yesterday, it was super weird. there were parts that made me very uncomfortable. it definitely deserves another read through. i lent 'invisible monsters' to amy, and i know everyone doesn't enjoy the same kinds of books that i do, but she's really getting into it and i love it!
monday night amy and i met john, the roommate that krystle, one of my co-workers, wants to hook me up with. he seems nice. i keep thinking about how he was 20 when i was 10.. and how he was 10 when i was born lol. i guess we're gonna hang out sometime again soon and see what's up. i told him i'm not really looking for anything, so hopefully nothing awkward develops.
we were talking with john and his manager [whose name i can't remember] about tattoos. john asked if i had any, and i showed him the one on my wrist. and i showed him the one on my stomach, and he was very impressed. i got so excited talking about it, and about tattoos in general. he said he was hesitant to get one for many reasons, among them that he has an addictive personality and hears getting tattoos is addictive. heck yeah it is! ever since we talked about it i keep thinking about what to do next. i wish i could give matt money from every pay check over a few months rather than have to pay all at once. color! and then something else! yes!
after we left the bar amy and i ate and smoked at her house. i went home, put on my pjs, and got in bed when bryan called to get me to come hang out. so i put my clothes back on and drove down to the azalea, which is like 10 minutes from my house. it was super good to see him. and savannah, and brandon, and sam. hopefully there will be more of the same soon, now that he lives down the street and all.
tomorrow is amy's birthday. she is going to get completely blitzed. since my digital camera is unusable i am going to get disposable cameras and take all kinds of silly pictures. i wanted to bake her a cake to go along with dinner tonight, but my oven has been acting so wacky lately that i don't want to risk it.
oh speaking of cooking i officially hate, despise, abhor, detest, LOATHE, electric appliances. when i get my own place, a gas range is IMPERATIVO!!!!!!!!!
my abs hurt from too much coughing. or.... other stuff :). either way i'm glad i have a nice stomach.
i do have enough money to pay for rent, utilities, AND our trip to new orleans. so excited!!!
