Where was it coming from? If abroad, then it might be just delayed (yes, even after 2 weeks, thats the post for you!)

Also, you shouldnt use cheques through ebay except for small amounts, your well versed in ebay trading, or various other reasons for times just like this..when you get stung, which looks like you probably have been, its so much harder to get things sorted. Get a paypal account, and whenever you use ebay, if paypal is an option, use it!

Also, check the feedback of the seller, if they have any negatives, then their not very good to trade with, unless its like they have 5000 positives and 2 negatives then their fine, 2 postitive and 4 negative for example dont go near! Send me the link for the auction.

But anyway, I think you were stung ANYWAY to be honest..it sounds to me, even without seeing the auction, you paid £90 for episodes downloaded onto a computer and written to dvd that way. Most of those seasons 1-8 usually are! If I had them myself (which I dont sorry) you can fit all 8 seasons on 16 blank dvd's..

So anyway, solutions..Has the cheque actually been cashed in and money taken? If not, then item may not have been posted.
What details of theirs were incorrect? You say you've got his phone number which is a good start..keep trying as ebay insist upon it even if it is futile. Also, take a look at this page http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/confidence/inrtourfaqs.html and then if still no contact can be made, Open an Item Not Received dispute..

Eventually you'll be able to claim back under the standard protection policy, but that does have a £15 fee (whereas a paypal one wouldnt have had any fee) :/
The other option, or you could do this anyway, contact the police as its fraud (selling something then taking the money and vanishing) but they might just say contact ebay.

If their no longer registered, suppose it isnt going to do much but id say if you have to resort to a claim in the end, make sure you leave negative feedback saying never recieved item.

Umm think thats it for now that I can think of..will let you know if anything else comes to mind, hope you get it sorted!
