Red:
Aren't you the romantic? Life is poetic. If you
don't already, write poetry, you're good at it.

What color do you see the world in?
brought to you by Quizilla
that's funny. I was actually planning on posting some poetry today. Hmm.

11/19/93
The naked lightbulb flings unforgiving shadows across the barren walls
There was white in the beginning, now again in the end
Purity and emptiness,
Longing with an outstretched hand
And in between are the scribbles of black
and sporadic spots of bright color
too small to grasp, too elusive too touch
But enough to tease and brighten.

Yesterday was pretty fun. Well minus the antagonizing from my editor-in-chief. I put in a lot of hours trying to make a perfect page, and there were a few errors, but she was mostly complaining because she didn't think that I put enough effort into it or that I have an eye for layout. Then she proceeded to show me her version of my page, with a bunch of frilly little things like dots around the text and such. If she wanted all of that extra stuff, she could have just told me instead of taking all control away from me. I was offended, but there wasn't anything I could say since she's in charge and I'm not.

After school, I dropped off my demo reel at CED so that this agent, Mitchell, could look at it. Once I find out where I'm going to college, then I'll figure out whether or not I really want to switch agencies. After that, I went over to Josh's place at USC, and we hung out for a bit. I snapped a gorgeous picture of the sunset from his roof, and we grabbed some pretty good Italian from this place called Bistango Café.

I came home for a while, and then Dustin called me to say his wrestling match was over and he was on his way home. Oh, by the way, he just started wrestling this year. I never really thought of him as the wrestling type, but he likes it a lot so why not. Anyway, I headed to his house and was a bit confused because he hadn't gotten there yet. So I just hung around with his parents, his gay hairdresser who was there to cut his hair, and his hairdresser's boyfriend. Dustin didn't end up coming until like 40 minutes later...apparently he got lost on the way home from Thousand Oaks, and he accidently drove all the way to Camarillo. whoops! hah. So Dustin got a cute haircut, then we watched part of Road Trip, cuddled, and talked for a while. After that we went into the jacuzzi and had some fun. :). It was freezing outside, but the water was hot so yeah. We went back inside and talked for a long time about...everything. He said that he was really grateful to have a good friend like me, and I think the feeling is mutual. We can tell each other anything and I never feel uncomfortable. I went into his bathroom to change back into regular clothes, and my thong was missing. His dog had stolen it. Ew. So I had to go commando on the way home.

Today, I went to the NCL Benefit at the Beverly Wilshire. They had the boutique before the luncheon, which is basically a bunch of vendors selling jewelry, purses, whatever...and part of the profits go to charity. I bought a really awesome purse, but they didn't have the color I wanted with them, so they're shipping it to me. Then I got my mommy a really cute bracelet with hearts on it, and I got this funky black rhinestone cuff-type-thing. Then they did the fashion show, like the one that I got to do last year, and it was okay. They only did formal gowns though. When my grade level did it last year, we had two outfits each(one casual, one dressy), and it was way more fun. Oh well. The food was awesome and then they served CHOCOLATE CREME BRULEE for dessert. I seriously had a food orgasm.

Tonight I'm hanging with Debora, but I'm not sure what we're doing yet. I think I'm going to go shopping right now because I still have my mom's credit card that she gave me for the benefit. teehee.
