BOOK THIRTEEN

I just finished In My Hands: Memories of a Holocaust Rescuer by Irene Gut Opdyke. It was amazing. Without giving too much away, this poor young Polish girl (she was 17 when the Polish occupation started) saved the lives of twelve Jews directly, and many others indirectly, by sending word to the ghetto when there was a raid coming. GREAT, AMAZING heartwarming book. It gave me a real perspective adjustment. Man. She's officially one of my heroes now.
