Park Attack Aftermath (RP: Azi, Sam, Chii, Others?)

Dec 26, 2008 23:21

((We're going to get Sam dellamified and Chii wherever she needs to go here, but if anyone else would have a reason to need an angel following the assault on the park, feel free to chime in))

Following Ellie's arrival, Aziraphale stepped out the door of Club 33, somewhat relieved to turn Crowley and his miserable mood over to someone who might ( Read more... )

((Up to you when you want him to run into Sam and Starbuck.))

Walking on four legs, Sam learned, wasn't that difficult as long as you didn't think too hard about the fact that... well, you were walking on four legs. With hooves. As soon as he did stop and think about it, then his still-human brain got confused about the rearranged limbs and threatened to ruin his balance. It didn't help that Starbuck was staring at him. And trying not to. But who could blame her, really?

So he was walking and concentrating pretty hard on not concentrating too hard so that he could make it all the way to Club 33 and hopefully find Aziraphale. Not that there was any guarantee that the angel would be there. In fact, when he stopped to consider it was probably pretty likely that Aziraphale would be out doing something important instead of sitting around in Disney's private cigar lounge. It was a rather disheartening thought, but at almost the same moment he had it, he looked up and caught sight of the very person he was worried about not being able to find.

"Oh thank God," he said aloud. Literally.

Aziraphale turned at the sound of Sam's voice, but all he saw was an unfamiliar young woman accompanied by some sort of dromedary. He frowned thoughtfully, glancing around. "Er. Pardon me, young lady, but did a tallish young American gent just pass by? I could have sworn I heard..."

Starbuck smirked, but couldn't readily bring herself to answer the question. Had this happened to her a year ago, she might have completely lost it. But here... it was par for the course, she supposed.

Besides, Sam did make an awfully fluffy animal. Sador was very confused about it. She stayed obediently at Sam's heels, though, looking about as worried as a dog could get.

Sador was making Sam's more llama-ish instincts kick in, and he shifted a little sideways on four legs before stopping himself. He snorted out of some very large nostrils.

"It's me, Mr. Fell," he said dolefully. "I got turned into a llama by some sort of Aztec witch-lady when Una and I went to blow up Sleeping Beauty's Castle."

Of all the strange stories he'd ever told, he was pretty sure that was the strangest.

Aziraphale blinked owlishly over his spectacles at this, then blinked again, momentarily at a loss for words. "Dear me, Sam. How very remarkable," he said finally, walking a circle around Sam and studying his quadruped physique with a sort of morbid intellectual fascination. It was, it had to be said, somewhat unfortunately awkward even for a llama. "I wonder how on Earth she managed it. Are you, er...well, I don't suppose it could be very comfortable." He didn't want to offer outright with the two women looking on, but clearly he couldn't leave the poor boy in this state...

"Some sort of potion or something," Sam said with a now slightly more practiced llama shrug. "It was really bright pink."

He turned his long neck to follow Aziraphale's circle. "It isn't. I was... uh, looking for you, actually. Can you... help?"

He tried not to look too pathetic just then, but big llama eyes and a fuzzy face weren't conducive to looking nonchalant, especially when he was feeling as miserable and tired as he was. "I don't want to go home as a llama."

Assuming they were on their way to achieving that. He was trying to sound more positive than he felt.

Aziraphale hesitated, trying to calculate the best way to go about this--and realized, abruptly, that it probably didn't matter. If the way out of the park had indeed been found, what difference would it make if Chii or this other young woman learned the truth about him? And if it hadn't...well, several people here knew already, and it wasn't as though they would not ask questions if he took Sam aside as a llama and returned with the human version.

"Of course I can," he said, smiling kindly, and laid a hand on the llama's shaggy withers, willing him back to his proper form.

((Unfortunately, distracted as he is by the goings-on in the park and the problem of Chii, the matter of clothes probably won't occur to him right away. ;) ))

Sam closed his eyes.

"Sancte Angele," he whispered, "adiutor meus, ora pro nobis. Sancte Angele, praeses meus, ora pro nobis. Sancte Angele, illuminator meus, ora pro nobis.*"

The change from llama to human was rather more tangible to Sam than it had been the other way; maybe because he knew to expect it, or maybe just because Aziraphale's powers worked differently than Yzma's potions. Either way, he knew without looking that it had worked.

"Thanks," he said, tone heartfelt, and opened his eyes again to find that yes, he was human now, but there was still one key element of human verses llama that was decidedly missing. He flushed pink with a muttered, "Oh jeeze."

Chii didn't understand a word of what Sam spoke, but she had been fascinated to watch Sam turn from some animal she didn't know into a person. A very naked person.

Her head tilted, Chii pointed at Sam and asked Aziraphale, "Why is this man naked? Being naked is bad. You are supposed to cover up."

"I don't know," Starbuck said, now well incapable of holding back a smirk, to say nothing of the giggles, "I'd say it's an improvement." And nothing she hadn't seen before, which happily helped with the embarrassment, she guessed. If you were going to do something you'd rather no one saw, now was probably the best time. It wasn't as though anyone would be able to make fun once they were--

Starbuck reflected that now was a pretty crap time to have the full gravity of their actions hit home. "Shit," she murmured under her breath, casting a look in Sam's direction that was likely more emotional than it should be, particularly given the comical state he was still in.

Aziraphale's eye widened at Sam's invocation. "My word," he said wonderingly as the boy resumed his proper shape, "I didn't think there were still any young people who knew that..."

Then he blinked at Chii's question, and blushed slightly himself as he realized his error. "Er. Quite right, Chii, so it is. Terribly sorry, dear boy, I, um..." Waving his hand, he manifested Sam's usual ensemble around him (more or less. The cheerful tartan socks currently concealed by the trouser legs would be a nice surprise for later.) Then he extended a hand to help Sam up.

"I certainly will," he added soberly. "Always. But you know it pleases Him best when it's addressed to Him directly."

Sam glared at Starbuck pointedly as his clothes reappeared, and uncrossed his arms from in front of himself to take Aziraphale's offered hand.

"Yeah, I know." he agreed, nodding at the angel. "Funny place to have your faith reaffirmed, really. But I guess stranger things have happened." He smiled a little awkwardly at the girl standing beside Aziraphale.

"Ineffable, as usual," the angel observed, and then realized he was being rude. "Oh--Sam, please allow me to present Miss Chii. Chii, this is Mr. Samuel Winchester, and...his lovely friend to whom I have not yet been introduced." He smiled pleasantly at Starbuck.
