Application for Higurashi Kagome of InuYasha

"Eeeeeyaaaaaahhhh!"

A teenage girl comes falling right out of the sky, careening toward the ground -- until she begins to fall more and more slowly and, ultimately, seems to float gently toward the ground. The girl lands in a lying down position but quickly pushes herself up and looks around, blinking.

The well had never taken here here before.

"Wh...where am I?"

Mickey coughs theatrically. "'What is your name?'"

The girl rubs her eyes, looking shocked. "Kagome! But -- you still didn't tell me where I am! This doesn't look like feudal Japan." She goes quiet for a splitsecond.

"Wait, are you...?"

"What is your quest?" asks the Cat. It's perched, suddenly, on the roof of one of the gate-stiles.

Startled, the girl turns to face the cat, mouth slightly agape. She is silent for a few seconds, then says, "M-My quest? My quest is to find all the pieces of the Shikon no Tama -- "

She pauses, apparently mid-sentence. What if this is some kind of trap?

"'What is the average w..?'" Mickey frowns down at the notebook. "You know, I don't really see why that's important." He flips a page. "'If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?'"

"Well, I don't know about my other wishes, but I guess my first wish would be to not be here!" Kagome looks at Mickey imploringly.

"What's going on here? I kind of have stuff I have to do elsewhere, so if you don't mind -- "

"Or," the Cat says, examining its tail with interest, "if you were a genie and someone you were trying to give three wishes to was trying to trick you into giving him more, what would you say?"

That's kind of a new twist. It catches Kagome's attention, momentarily distracting her from her rant. "Well..." she says. "I guess I'd just tell him to be careful. Genies can be tricky. You don't want to get on their bad side."

Mickey looks rather nonplussed at the next, but reads, "'When the revolution comes, what skills will you be able to barter for food?'"

Kagome looks nonplussed as well. "What?" she says, slightly incredulous. Well, she's incredulous of the whole situation, really. Still, she makes a valiant attempt at answering the question. "I guess, uh, I can fire a bow, and I'm a good runner, and I'm good with kids, and I can speak English and Japanese! Are any of those ... barter-able?"

The Cat rolls its eyes in a friendly (and rather disconcertingly out-of-sync) way, and asks, "Milk, dark, or white chocolate?"

"Oh, dark please!" Kagome waits expectantly, as though she thinks she will be handed some.

"'Choose the two coolest: robots, pirates, fairies, bears, ninjas, monkeys, vampires, or humans,'" says Mickey, giggling a bit as he goes through the list. "'Explain.'"

"Ninjas are cool because they're sneaky and really athletic and can do a lot of things," Kagome reasoned. "And regular humans are cool because they never give up trying no matter what, and they always want to do the right thing, and sometimes people underestimate them.

Now do you mind telling me why you're asking me all these things?! And why I'm here in the first place?!" A beat. "...Is this...?"

"Great!" Mickey flips through the blank pages of the notebook at top, cartoon-y speed. "Well, I think that's just about it! Oh, and I'm supposed to ask, 'for your safety: are you carrying anything sharp?'"

" ... Do you mean, do I need to carry anything sharp for my safety, like to protect myself, or do you mean, you need to know if I'm carrying anything sharp for my safety so you can take it away so I don't hurt myself with it?"

Her bow and arrow is plainly showing.

((ooc: I wasn't going to do this, but I missed playing her, so here she is! Bear with me, it's been a while she I've played her anywhere and I'm a little rusty. Kagome is taken from the anime, somewhere towards the middle of the series. The anime being full of the episodic filler that it is, I figure we don't need to be more specific than that.))

toki, application, setsuna, duck, kagome
