After his little
talk with Booth, Percy was determined to see his wife. Having worked these past few weeks on regaining her love and righting wrongs, he finally saw the precarious situation that they were all in with clear and focused eyes. He could lose Marguerite at any point in time - whenever it suited the Higher Powers that be, and he was

"Yes, can I he---" she was cut off by the sight of her husband before her. "Percy!" She cried happily at the tall form before her. She curtsied to him before looking him over. "Are you alright? Do come in," she said moving out of the door frame for her beloved to come in.

He began to gesture with his long limbs towards the street and the sky. "Another wonderful night, why not take a stroll with your foolish husband?"

"Splendid, splendid. Let's take the air, but first you must take m'arm." He held his elbow out for her to take, happy enough to be just near her once again.

There was just an ever-so-slight glint of mischief in his eyes when Percy replied next. "I thought that we might partake of the Park's many amusements provided for us."

Marguerite looked to her husband when he spoke and nodded in agreement. In all honesty she was a little nervous about such things, but with Percy there she felt more at ease. "Oh? I had yet to try anything rather adventurous as of yet, I've seen the one with music that goes about. The carousel is it? I enjoyed that one. The music is quite repetitive, I must say."

"You? Zooks, my dear, I expected you to be a little more daring than that. Where is the adventurous Marguerite St Just that I married? No, no, you cannot settle for merely the carousel. Tonight we'll try something new." He nodded his head to settle the matter right there and then.

She couldn't help but laugh at his expression. "The Marguerite St Just you married was busy, cleaning," she explained with a smile. "After setting about the place to find this and that, I hardly had the energy to do else other than lay down," she went on. "I am quite glad for it, these things look even better than the carousel. They're not---that is, what are they?"

"Surely you've seen the roller coasters? If you haven't, I'm sure my clever wife can figure out what they do from their name. This, m'dear, is like a roller coaster. Percy would never lie to her, but there was something odd about all of this. "I say, Percy," she remarked looking at the seat carefully. "How am I to fit in it?"

He said nothing more on this thought, just merely removed his gloves, his cap, and his jacket to sit himself down in the seat. "Surely your gown isn't so large that it cannot be compressed!" he huffed. "Now come and join me. You can fit, I assure you."

Marguerite watched as he removed his cap, his gloves---his coat!? "Percy!" She cried, watching him climb into the contraption, the perfect image of calm. "It could, but whatever are you doing? Why are you removing your coat? Your gloves, even your hat, perhaps. But what of your coat, sir?"
