Application: Arachne, Angel Sanctuary

Mickey coughs theatrically. "'What is your name?'"

When Arachne was going to go up to Heaven to retrieve Alexiel's body, this was not what she was expecting. Unless Heaven had done a serious remodeling job since what she had last heard, she and Kurai must've taken a wrong turn somewhere.

She turns to her side to tell Kurai that she knew they ( Read more... )

((I bring you my drag king. XD))

Kitty was, quite honestly, rather nervous about introducing herself to the new arrivals, now that she realised she'd be here a while, as it meant lying to more and more people and she'd have to give this up sometime.

However, she happened to be passing by at the time, in just her shirt, having given up on the whole get up, but definately still passing herself off as a man. It would be rude to walk past and say nothing, "I'm rather afraid the mouse doesn't talk back. However, I'm Kit, and it's very nice to meet you, Arachne. Named after the Greek mythology, I do suppose?" She smiled at her generously, and was almost tempted to add a comment about gorgeous men and tip her a wink, but she wasn't really in that kind of mood.

Oh. He was a cutie. "Why, hello there, gorgeous," said Arachne, stepping closer to Kit. "Yes, I suppose I was named after the Greek myth. I never really thought about it before. Are you named for anything?"

Oh lord. A description of her fake, or adapted version of her name. Um. She thought on her feet and shrugged her shoulders, "It's actually short for Christopher. Not nearly as interesting as yours, I am very sure." She noted the step closer and use of 'gorgeous', and smirked a little, "I was wondering how you defined gorgeous, to be quite honest." Well, if she was prepared to flirt, Kitty was quite prepared to return it. She was rather a good actor in that sense. Although, looking at this particuar lady, there wasn't much need for acting.

Arachne's definition of gorgeous was actually quite wide. She liked slim, lean men, and big, muscular ones. Especially if the person looked tasty. Then, they were a real treat. Kit happened to fall into her 'pretty boy' definition of gorgeous.

"Christopher can be a very interesting name if you want to get into it, even if it is common," said Arachne. "And it comes from Greece too. I think this is some sort of sign," she gave a wink.

"Well, you define gorgeous well enough for me. Far better than I could put into words, at least."

Kitty thought for a second and offered "I think it has something to do with Christ in Greek, but apart from that, I must confess I'm a little lost as to it's meaning." However, she did visably blush just a little at that wink, "I do think it could be a sign, though. A very interesting sign."

She blinked at the compliment and had to swallow that guilty feeling in her stomach for looking at a woman like that, then get back her composure, "I don't often cause a loss for words. I would quite like to make much more of a habit of that, I think. You, I believe, are simply beyond coherent thought, let alone words."

Well, if that wasn't the cutest thing. He was blushing. Arachne, however, was not one to blush when someone complimented her on her looks.

"I know," she said, but she was smiling a little more than before. "Would you say that I'm sexy?"

She nearly choked when asked that question outright. She had no idea how to answer it politely, either. How difficult. "I...well, that is rather a forward question in my time, I must confess." She actually thought it a rather forward question at all, but she was happy to blame the 19th century for her opinion right now. "However, I must also confess I do find you rather attractive as well."

Making people uncomfortable was one of the things that Arachne did best. It was right up there with getting into the personal space of good looking boys. "From your time?" asked Arachne, touching putting her thumb to his lips. "What do you mean by that?"

Having talked to people 100 years older and younger than her in her short time here, Kitty was quickly trying to come to terms with the idea of all these different times, and had slipped into having to tell people about 'her time', as there seemed very few people around from then. The issue was, now she had to explain it to someone, whilst coming to terms with the fact a very attractive woman had her thumb on her lip, whilst trying to act as a natural man. She took a deep breath in and was noticably awkward, "Well, there's lots of people stuck here, from all sorts of different times and places. I'm from 1895, there's some gentlemen from the 18th and early 19th century, and lots of people from the 20th and even 21st centuries. So, one gets used to referring to things as 'in my time', I suppose." This was all done in one very quick breath, as to avoid making the situation any more awkward. She had quite possibly failed.

Oh. The 19th century was such a bore. Arachne didn't make a habit of hanging around on Assiah, but she had gone up once in a while for a nice little treat. It did have it's interesting moments, but from what she knew so far, the latter part of the 20th century was much more interesting.

Making cute young men uncomfortable always was filled with great amusement, but for now, she backed off. "I see," said Arachne. "I think I understand. I'm from 1999 myself."

Kitty smiled at her generously when she backed off a little, as she did feel more comfortable, even if she had to fight off the sensations in the bottom of her stomach all the while. "Over a 100 years in my future. This sort-of-time-traveller business is a little disturbing, really. It's scary to see how far the world seems to have gone in just a century, but also sort of...fascinating."

Arachne nodded. "Humans have been developing very quickly lately," said Arachne. It was detrimental to her homeland. Geheness was a mirror land to Earth, and all the pollution that poisoned the Earth was also poisoning her own land.

"I really do feel rather far behind. But I'm learning, I suppose." Not that it was really her idea of fun, and some of the new attitudes and concepts only made things worse, but she was definately learning.

"Well, when you need to learn, you can learn pretty quickly." She licked her lips, and then looked Kit up and down. "I wouldn't mind teaching you a few things, Kit."

Kitty gulped, not exactly sure how to deal with this, but desperately wanting to flirt back. She did have to remind herself that this poor woman didn't know she was a woman, and there could be much awkward explaining to do at a later date if she carried on flirting. "I would be quite happy to learn, to be honest."

"Well then," said Arachne, "You're going to have to take me back to your place."

Arachne, of course, had a feeling that if this young gentleman found out Arachne was a man, he'd not be as keen on flirting. Arachne had no intention of having him find out though. She might be a big flirt, but she was also still a virgin.
