Dear Spring Break,

Mar 10, 2007 23:50

I miss you dearly and I wish I could have you back. It was good to be home and spend time with my parents and my sister. I got to see my cousin Tiff. She apparently now has a job in Kentucky? I got to see quite a few of my high school teachers. I had to take my sister to the school for observation hours for the teacher ed program. I went to the doctor and found out that the pain in my back is caused by muscle strain :-( and I need pt for it. I am getting some moles removed from my face in June because they are suspect for cancer :-( The happy news of the doctors visit was that I get custom orthotics. I got fitted for them on Friday and I will get them in 2-3 weeks. Yay for Happy Feet!

Now for the not so fun of break...
I came home to an apartment that smelled of sewage...fear not, it wasn't actually sewage but rather just gross waste water from the sink. People upstairs poured grease down their drain clogging mine too and the waste water overflowed the sink into the kitchen and into the living room. I'm pretty sure it sat for a few days because it started to mold and mildew the counter top and some other things. The cleaning crew came out and cleaned most of it but it was still gross. They just cleaned up the worst of it. They sent out a professional carpet cleaning service to clean the living room carpet. The guys were pretty nice and they even cleaned the kitchen rug (which was way gross). My apartment is currently still in shambles because they left equipment to dry the carpet so that it doesn't get all mildewey and gross smelling. Megh was amazing and she let me stay at her place last night and we got Cold Stone on the way to her place. Then we watched the director's cut of Stargate, which was way awesome. I cleaned a lot today. I got everything in somewhat of working order. Our kitchen at least functions somewhat now. Went to lunch with Meg and her mom when they got back. Then took a trip to Meijer, yay for food.

I decided to take a nap after repotting plants and cleaning some more. When I woke up I called Luke and then quickly hung up the phone because my 30 gallon tank had sprung a leak. Half a day later, the silicon is curing and the fish are in buckets until tomorrow afternoon. To make things even better, I have not yet done my homework and it is daylight savings time...which means a lot less sleep. Grrr. I just want to be done.

K, maybe if I sleep, nothing bad will happen. Good grief!
