first gig with sila pope... well, it wasnt too good... i had loads of mistakes. was fuckin nervous. and i havent been nervous in a while... i wasnt confident cuz i didnt really know the songs by heart... which was weird cuz when we jammed yesterday, i pretty much had them down na.. then iether the cable that pope was using or part of the mixer was fucked up. cuz his guitar would just suddenly disappear. then the drumset sucked. but FA did great. caros was cool. steady as usual but there were some parts that didnt seem so right. i dont know exactly but there were parts that sounded weird to me eh.
man, i had to do my first real bass solo. fuck... i think i messed that up but they said ok lang naman daw.
but otherwise, im not so bummed about it. it's not the end, and when you make mistakes naman, you learn eh. plus i think im really getting pushed to become a better musician. although yeah i know, i still have such a long way to go. i dont think im even 1/4 of what i need/want to be. there's so much more to learn. and well, from the "lay people", they seemed to think it was pretty good. you'll always be your own worst critic..
oh and another thing im proud of is the tone i had. i really think my tone was real good. hehe! not to be kapal or anything but the hamer plus the sansamp= the tone i want. Ü
today was a good day. im now officially onboard. haha. whaaaatttt...
gotta fix the jam with dyto...next and with sila jomar too.
