Surprise, surprise...
I have kid in my class who, last year, informed a girl that he was going to bring a knife to school and stab her because he was angry at her.
His mom hides her purse from him because he will steal anything he can get his hands on.
Oh, and to top it off, he once set fire to a mattress in his house because he was angry at his mom for not getting him something he desired.
Why am I not in the least bit concerned or shocked by this?
This, ladies and gentlemen, is the future of the world and I am lucky enough to get to know them while they are at the amateur level of anger-induced pyrotechnics and more than slightly serious "piercing". I think the amateur part is the only reason I do not fear for my life on a semi-regular basis.
