A permanent home for dapplegrey art!

Those of you that have followed my journal will know that I trade with my art under the name 'dapplegrey art'.  Dapplegrey art regularly goes on the road around various craft fayres and exhibitions.  Unfortunately, for reasons that don't need any explanation, those have been few and far between over the last couple of years; in fact I've only had one event go ahead since September 2019.

This continuing uncertaincy is proving problematic, as I book multiple events, pay the pitch fees, then they're cancelled, and I either have to apply for refunds or the pitch fees are held over until next year.  It's a cashflow nightmare, and also an administrative nightmare - I'm losing track of who owes me what!  So I've decided that for the next couple of years (or at least until this bloody fiasco is under control) i'm going to minimise the amount of shows I do to minimise the inconvenience and expense.

In that one event that did go ahead in September of this year, I met a lovely lady called Charlotte who was opening an attraction called 'the Imaginarium' at a place called Fort Victoria in the Isle of WIght.  She really connected with my artwork and asked me if I would be interested in a permanent exhibit at the Imaginarium.  We talked, and I visited the place.  I really, really loved what she was looking to build, and so now, dapplegrey art works are a permanent fixture at the Imaginarium!  It's only been open five months and is very much a work in progress, but I think this deserves to be a big success, and I'm really proud to be a part of it!!

My pieces have been there two months and I've already sold four prints, so I think this could be the start of a great relationship; maybe the next stage of dapplegrey art's evolution!!
