The Days:
1. Something Old
2. Something new
3. Something you made for someone else
4. Something you made just for yourself
5. Something for a major fandom/pairing/character
6. Something for a minor fandom/pairing/character
7. Something you're just really proud of
Number four, something I made just for myself, was quite a challenge because you could argue that all my art/stories are for myself - I wouldn't do it if I didn't enjoy it!
But ultimately, I've narrowed this one down to two pieces: a story and a piece of artwork.
The story is one of the longest I have ever written at over 30,000 words. I wrote it because I wanted to treat the boys. I just wanted to give them a little bit of joy, and fun and good luck, just for once in their lives, and so this story was born. It started off as a fairly simple concept but as I was writing it, it took on a life of its own, (I had to throw in a little bit of angst and hurty comfort and adventure after all) and I got so deeply invested in it, I was actually crying as I wrote the last chapter!
Of all my stories, I think it's the one I have the most emotional attachment to, and it's called 'Wish You Were Here'.
Wish You Were Here on Fanfic.netWish You Were Here on AO3 The artwork is called 'The Weight of Eternity' and it's something that I challenged myself to do when I was just learning the fundamentals of digital art (something I'd never even attempted before I got into fandom). It's pretty basic, but it's one of the first pieces I ever made and I remember being really proud of it when I first made it!
