So, update from Dizzoland... Mr D is all recovered from his recent brush with Shingles and went back into the office today. Thank you for all your lovely well wishes :)

They certainly are. Thankfully he seemed to have a fairly mild case. Either that or he caught it early and started taking the anti-virals before it could really get nasty!
