Well, that was that then!

It's been a crazy busy, but lovely weekend that started off on Friday evening with me catching up with Amy, my lovely God-daughter.

Amy has been over here from New Zealand for six months having all sorts of adventures in the UK and over in Europe.  She's now back staying with her grandparents for the last two weeks of her trip and flies back to NZ next Monday.

She came over to see us Friday afternoon, and I took her to a great restaurant not far from where I live.  She stayed overnight with us and then, I had to run her to the station to travel back to her Grandparents because Mr D and I were heading off up to London for our own adventure - a martian one!

The Immersive War of the Worlds was incredible, the most amazing experience made up of Jeff Wayne's fantastic soundtrack, virtual reality, great actors, brilliant sets and props and it was so awesome to share the experience with Mr D who is as much of a War of the Worlds nut as I am!  It was hilarious at times, and at other times it took me right out of my comfort zone - but in a good way! It was a fabulous day and I'm so glad that we treated ourselves to a VIP experience because we got a meal, drinks, photos and some merch all thrown in.

And now I can genuinely say that I survived a martian invasion!!
