Mr D slipped in the shower this morning trying to rescue a spider. He said he didn't see it when he started showering, but he turned round to see it struggling up the side of the bathtub trying to get away from the water and he felt sorry for it.
His good deed didn't end well!

Nope, I don't like them either. I try not to kill them, so I always hope I've got my spider wrangler, aka Mr Dizzo, around to evict them!

We have a "spider cup"--a clear plastic highball "glass," and a square of bright yellow cereal box cardboard. They're the "capture kit" and we use them to catch and release outdoors. I caught a spider during a 3AM bathroom visit, and left her(almost always) in the cup in a prominent spot on the kitchen counter, rather than make noise opening the door, releasing her and closing and locking it again and waking up DH. We haven't had our usual bonus spider season this year, but it's a big one for moths, for some reason. No catch and release for moths, though. Doom for them in our house.

I've got one of those vacuum tubes with the brush at the end that's supposed to suck them up, but I don't like getting close enough to try to use it!
Ah now, moths are fine in Chez Dizzo, they get very gently evicted!
