My First Fanmix - Against All Odds, A Snupin Fanmix
Fanmixer Notes: So this is my first fanmix and I hope everyone will enjoy it. A bit heavy on the meta/text but this is my way to distract myself from the BDM-er book. XD After compiling songs, I had about 44 so I'm happy to have even cut it down this far. I am sorry for all the Darren in this mix but honestly, his lyrics work so well.... And there originally was more Darren (and Savage Garden). This soundtrack tells a story on one of the many ways I think Severus Snape and Remus Lupin may have interacted with each other. To my fellow shippers, we will prevail after DH... =D And to non-shippers of this, I hope it opens up your mind just a bit. Everyone else, enjoy the music! Oh, I belive there's two .m4a's here but the rest should be .mp3s. This is a LONG post. X-Posted.

Marauder Era, Pre-Prank. Severus POV. He knows he's in love/infatuation with Lupin but doesn't believe Lupin would ever reciprocate.

First War Era. Remus POV. Working with Severus through the Order, Remus, who did have feelings for him before, is content to just now have the chance to always be nearby.

POA. Remus POV. Every time Remus tries to make amends or be friendly, he gets shot down and insulted at. Even patient men can wear down and wonder about their own worth.

POA. Severus' POV. Although he worked with Lupin in the previous war, dealing with Potter's son and the possibility of Sirius Black being on the loose puts him on edge. He hates that Lupin is constantly around him, reminding him of what he can't have. Everything surrounding the Prank changed his perception of Lupin and his bloody friends, but he knows deep inside he still is in love with Lupin.

POA. Before the incident. Remus/Moony's POV. A heated argument turned into something so much more. Both Remus and Moony want this, they want Severus fully.

POA. Before the incident. Severus POV. Harboring these feeling so long, Severus lets his desires rule him for just one night and mutters these things to Lupin. What Lupin has yet realized is that he truly means it.

It's the chance I've got to face
End of POA. Severus POV. Severus knew he was in the wrong for outing Lupin, but he couldn't help it. He was angry, though now he regrets it and wonders if Lupin will ever talk to him again.

End of POA. Remus POV. Severus, as always, gives him mixed feelings he doesn't know how to react. But he knows, he still wants this, to at least try it. He doesn't know if it can still happen...

GOF. Remus POV. Remus finally cracks Severus' codes and masks and realizes why he, nor anyone else, couldn't get through. He tries to let Severus know that he won't break his heart, that he wants more than just sex.

GOF. Severus POV. Although this is what he's wanted, he doesn't understand why Lupin would want him. He knows Lupin can do better and he knows that his spy work will make him go deeper and probably do things that he won't ever be able to explain.
11. Darren Hayes - Light (4:54)

OOTP~HBP. Before Albus' murder. Severus POV. After contemplating his life and his relationships past, Severus finally gives into freeing himself to Lupin, to having an actual relationship. He begins to believe that there is hope for him yet.

OOTP~HBP. Before Albus' murder. Remus POV. Remus shows Severus how much it means to him that they can be themselves around each other, why this is so right.

HBP, up to the murder. Remus POV. Remus notices the differences in Severus. Something's changed, and not for the better. He's worried about him and what's going on in the war.

HBP, Astronomy Tower. Severus POV. Thoughts about everyone and everything. He knows after tonight nothing will be the same, not even with Remus.

Post HBP. Remus POV. Second stage of Grieving. Before Remus can even process it all, he's thrusted as the new liason between the werewolf faction and Death Eaters along with other Order spies. Seeing Severus so soon makes his blood boil. He won't listen to excuses, not now.

Post HBP. Snape POV. Despite it all, Severus hoped there could still be a chance between him and Remus. But with all the meetings, Remus keeps himself closed off. Severus isn't sure how much he can stand being cut off.

Post HBP. Remus POV. With all the information coming in from the trio and other war fronts, Remus begins to doubt his initial reactions to what Severus did. Maybe he was wrong for doubting? One more confrontation and Remus demands to know. "Did you ever really love me?"

Possible DH. Severus POV. Although it's the answer Remus wanted, Severus wonders if it'll be enough for him. He knows he can't trust anyone still, the last leg of the war is about to happen.
19. Darren Hayes - I Forgive You (4:35)

Lord I must forgive you
Possible DH. Remus POV. One rare peaceful night and a bottle of whiskey later, Remus reasserts his long and tumultous relationship with one Severus Snape. He realizes he still has it in his Gryffindor Heart that he can forgive himself and Severus for all that they've done to each other.

Possible DH. Before Final battle. Severus POV. Severus doesn't believe he'll survive the war, or even in the slim chance he does, that he'll ever see Remus again. He thinks Remus will live out the rest of his life happy and with someone who deserves to have him.

Before Final Battle. Severus POV. Severus wants to damn Remus for giving him all this hope, all this light in him. He still has it despite all the darkness around. And maybe just maybe, they can still make it if Remus would only just believe what he had said last to him. (This and the final song is a bit cheesy, but one's gotta have hope. ^_^)

Before Final Battle. Remus POV. He hasn't had a chance to tell Severus he's sorry for ever doubting, that he still loves him. But he believes, he knows, Severus will make it out and help them all will the war. He knows they are both strong enough to survive and find each other again.
