A Study in Purple.
So, I am a super dork. I have been subscribed to the A Word A Day mailing list since high school, and I am often times amused by the words that come up in it. I even have a tag on my journal specifically for vocabulary words.
Today's word greatly amused me because it was one that I was already very familiar with:
Agoraphobia A fear of being in public places, open spaces, or in crowds.
The reason I am familiar with this term? I used to hang out on a forum that used that term as it's name. :) I still occasionally communicate with one person from that board, and I have another on my friends list here. So it made me smile to see that word sitting in my inbox tonight.
