Unprepared food at the door a sign?

Is there some sort of idiot wanna-be thug message in leaving various food stuffs on a doorstep without containment? A year or three ago, there was a pile of coffee beans sitting right in front of the door at my dad's house. We're still not sure who did it, or why. However, I was reminded of that incident when my mom's boyfriend told me there was something weird in front of my door this morning, and sent me out the upstairs door to look.

There were a bunch of tater-tots spread out in front of my door and across my doormat. They weren't baked or fried yet, they just looked like they were thawing out from having been the sort frozen in a bag for easy preparation. I'm just absolutely perplexed as to who would put them there, what sort of message they wanted to get across, and why anyone would waste tater-tots like that unless they were the crappy store brand sort.

In other news, it looks like my Carnivorous plants are starting to sprout, I've got leaves poking through the soil. :) Hopefully they'll be to the point of eating bugs soon, I've got a whole bunch of the damn things invading my living space because the weather's gotten warmer and the mother has taken to leaving doors open, which allows the bugs inside the house (not to mention her gorram cigarette smoke *gag*).

yay, carnivorous_plants, recap, family, random, confused
