New member/Cat playground
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, I'm sorry if it's not.
I'm 20, Canadian, and my boyfriend and I have recently adopted the cutest little rescue kitten in the world. I want to build her a play area like these ones, but I'm not sure how to get started. I'm fairly handy with tools and not shy about building; basically, I want to make sure I'm not biting off more than I can chew, that's all.
I'm planning on building the frame out of wood and somehow fastening carpet to parts of the frame for use as scratching posts (carpet is really fiesty though - suggestions for taming it?). Then I'm going to put a couple hammoks in some of the spaces, and make solid-bottomed perches on others. I also want to sew a little hidey-basket to go with it like the one they've got on the site.
