Nursing Necklace

Hi, I'm new to the community. I'm interested in possibly making my own nursing necklace and I was wondering if any one had and information they could pass on to me. I'm fairly new to beading and I'd like to make one for my newborn and a friend who is due in March.

How-to's, good places to buy beads and materials online or in store at decent prices would be nice. I skimmed the memories but didn't really find anything.
