Tutorials on items made out of heavy demin cloth

recently my mum passed on to me quite a few jeans made of heavy demin cloth, but they are not suitable for me to wear. I was thinking of making them into something else useful, such as bags but havent have much ideas. I have my own sewing machine but am very new to sewing still.
